The Women’s Divorce and Family Law Group by Haid and Teich LLP is proud to announce its sponsorship of two local nonprofit organizations: MOM + BABY, an advocacy group for women and children, and The Josselyn Center for Mental Health, a mental health services provider in Northfield, Illinois. Our team of divorce and family lawyers is committed to helping our clients in more ways than just providing legal representation.
MOM + BABY is a nonprofit advocacy group based in Chicago. Recently, our team attended the MOM + BABY 3rd Annual Legislative Luncheon. At this event, we met with group representatives as well as women and mothers the advocacy group supports. MOM + BABY works at the local and national level to support initiatives that provide for the well being of pregnant women, mothers, and children. We proudly provide support to this organization.
Our team recently became a corporate sponsor of The Josselyn Center for Mental Health, a nonprofit organization that provides family and individual counseling, case management services, psychiatric services, and referral services to the people of the Chicago area. The Center also provides free information about mental health topics and makes advocacy efforts to aid the population it serves. Part of The Josselyn Center for Mental Health’s role in its community is pairing with other organizations and local benefits to make its services more widely available, benefiting all members of the community.
You might be wondering why our team works with these nonprofits. As a family law firm, we feel that our duties reach beyond representing our clients in the courtroom and helping them negotiate divorces and other family law issues. We feel that part of our job is to act as a resource for the community to encourage healthy development and relationships for all families, regardless of their structure or circumstances. One way we can fulfill this role is to provide resources for nonprofit organizations that focus solely on specific forms of advocacy and aid.
