Ms. Stoveland focuses her practice on all aspects of family law, which includes Dissolution of Marriage, allocation of parental responsibilities and parenting time, maintenance, relocation, child support, orders of protection, and also post-decree matters.
Ms. Stoveland gained valuable experience from volunteering at The Service League in San Francisco, which provided services for inmates and served as an advocate for them as well. She also worked with several organizations specifically dialed into women’s issues which gives her a solid base for joining a women’s law group. This path led her across the country, where she began her legal career by accepting a law clerk position with WDFLG, while obtaining her JD, and continued as an Associate Attorney upon admission to the Illinois Bar. Ms. Stoveland is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association.
Ms. Stoveland earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Women’s Studies from the University of Delaware. She then moved to Chicago and obtained her Juris Doctor from DePaul College of Law, where she was a teaching assistant in Legal Writing.
