Suzette Pierson received her Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law, where she edited the Center for Law & Science Newsletter, was awarded a Law Merit Scholarship, and was the recipient of a CALI award for her work with the Death Penalty Legal Clinic. In addition, she was awarded grants to work at the Legal Aid Bureau (now part of Metropolitan Family Services) and the Center for Disability and Elder Law, both in Chicago.
Prior to attending law school, she managed an independent bookstore in Chicago while raising her family, and studied at the University of Chicago where she was the recipient of an unendowed fellowship in anthropology and received a Master of Science degree.
Suzette is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
