Cori Sobota

ASSOCIATE

Ms. Sobota is an Associate Attorney at the Women’s Divorce and Family Law Group by Haid and Teich, LLP (“WDFLG”). Ms. Sobota has focused her career on advocating for individuals during what can be some of the most trying times in their life. Ms. Sobota is passionate about working closely with her clients and providing them with the support and counsel they need when navigating the litigation process.

EXPERIENCE

extensive litigation experience

Prior to joining WDFLG, Ms. Sobota was employed with the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where she worked in the Municipal, Domestic Violence, and Felony Review Units. During her time as an Assistant State’s Attorney, Ms. Sobota gained extensive litigation experience and successfully advocated for victims throughout Cook County in a variety of contested matters, including pre-trial hearings, motions, and trials.

Before her admission to the bar, Ms. Sobota interned with several different agencies during law school, including the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office, The Department of Homeland Security, and the Illinois Attorney General’s Child Welfare Litigation Bureau.

EDUCATION

Graduated cum laude

Ms. Sobota received her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. During law school, Ms. Sobota was recognized for her academic achievements in several classes, including Trial Advocacy and Litigation Technology. Ms. Sobota graduated Cum Laude from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor’s Degree in both Psychology and Political Science.
