Having amassed much experience in diverse litigation practice, Ms. Kuzniar can expeditiously analyze and assess complex matters for settlement or trial. She works tirelessly as an advocate for her clients, who benefit greatly from her creative, direct, and innovative approach to the practice of law. She settles and litigates complex divorce, parentage, and allocation cases. She drafts prenuptial agreements, partnership agreements and represents children by court appointment.
Ms. Kuzniar was awarded Board Certification in Family Law on October 27, 2016 by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. She has litigated numerous divorce and post-decree cases. Prior to joining the Women’s Divorce & Family Law Group, Ms. Kuzniar practiced in a number of family law firms around the Chicagoland area and had a solo practice from 2007-2018. She has also been published on the topics of Child Custody and Visitation, Health Insurance, Federal Privacy Law, and Family Law in multiple publications around the city and state. She has also presented at seminars from 2002 to the present.
Ms. Kuzniar was presented the Michal S. Cohen Award January 2015 by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education for her continuing commitment and contribution toward the education of matrimonial attorneys. She has been named a Super Lawyer from 2007 to 2022 with top 100 attorneys and top 50 women attorney awards from 2015-2018. She received Leading Lawyer Recognition since 2011 with top awards.
Ms. Kuzniar graduated from Loyola University in 1980 and went on to University School of Law in 1991. She was admitted to practice in the state of Illinois in November 1991 and holds active membership in Illinois State Bar Association as well as numerous other bar associations around the state and country.
