Jacquelyn Haynes

Ms. Haynes has practiced law in Illinois for over forty years, with the majority of her practice being in Family Law. She has experience in all family law-related matters, including dissolution of marriage, post-judgment matters, parentage (paternity), allocation of parental responsibilities, parenting time, child support, maintenance (alimony), guardianship, and orders of protection. She is a Fellow of Collaborative Divorce Illinois and a trained mediator through the Northwestern University mediation skills training program. She is committed to guiding her clients through the challenges of the legal process using compassion and confidence with prompt, thorough, and knowledgeable communication.

EXPERIENCE

over 40 years of experience

Prior to joining WDFLG, Ms. Haynes practiced with Legal Services Benefit Plan (LSBP) for 33 years, a benefit first provided through the law firm of Borovsky & Ehrlich and later through the law firm of Daley & Georges. As an attorney and supervising attorney with LSBP, she practiced in numerous areas of personal legal services, including residential real estate, estate planning, landlord/tenant, bankruptcy, consumer matters, and traffic/criminal.

EDUCATION

Ms. Haynes was born in Eugene, Oregon, and received her B.A. with Honors in English Literature from the University of Oregon. She then moved to Chicago, where she received her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.
