Ebony’s legal knowledge and psychology background allow her to effectively advocate for clients as she understands that the breakdown of a family infrastructure can be one of the most difficult experiences of a person’s life. Ebony belongs to the Illinois State Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association. She was also nominated as one of the National Black Lawyer’s 40 under 40 in the State of Illinois.
Ebony B. Thompson graduated from Duke University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, concentrating in Personality and Social Behavior. In 2010, Ebony graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since admission to the Illinois State Bar.
Aside from the practice of law, Ebony also remains active in her community as a volunteer mentor through Horizons for Youth and Co-Membership Chair of the Associate Board for the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless.
